Aquarama 2011

Hi there fish lovers,

Today marks the end of Aquarama 2011 held at Suntec. Been there yesterday to feast my eyes on several magnificant bettas. However, I am so sorry I did not bring my camera along, but some pictures can be found in the Arofanatics forum, here! Do browse around the pages as I think there are other pictures within the thread. Other than bettas, there are hundreds of other fishes, both marine and freshwater.

For those of you who had been there, did you catch the Imperial Red Arowana selling for $8888? That's a top notch fish I must say.

Back to bettas, for those of you interested in the results, it can be found here. Manage to purchase the 3rd placing White Platinium OHMPK, will be spawning him with my female soon.

I'm back!

Hello my friends,

The shroud of darkness upon me had lifted, my exams are over! As promised, I produced a guide for anyone seeking help in understanding the term "rays", in betta keeping. A simple picture will be attached below, detailed explainations can be found on the guide link - "Betta Ray Counting Guide", on the right side of this blog page.

Lastly, I had finally found a decent Blackhead Turquiose HM Female for my male. And the spawning was successful, look forward to raising classic Blackhead Turquiose Halfmoons! Picture of father below. (Yes, the one for sale, haha.)

Exams approaching!

Dear friends,

My examinations will begin this friday! Managed to snap some pictures while taking a break though. This is a better picture of those Red/White Fancies that came out of the Red Gold spawn. Pretty artistic I would say, some may call this White Platinium with red wash too, nevertheless, just names. They will be for sale, limited pieces.

And to my surprise, some of the females from the spawn are pure Gold. Colouration is not very strong but I managed to find one without red wash. Also for sale, for those interested.

Lastly, after culling several pieces of my White Platinium spawn, I am very lucky to harvest a great looking female. Will cross her around to continue the blood line, here's a picture, enjoy!
